Whats going on

I cannot believe it has been this long since I posted. I got a new job in a new city and it is just running me ragged. Lets see what have I been up to.

The company whom I networked with for State Sporting events contacted me and I shot State Cross Country for them this last weekend. When I got there the owner handed me a Canon and said you know how to use this right? I didn't ... but can't be that hard right? It worked out beautifully and I recieved many compliments on my images. He paid me above what our contracted hourly rate was and said he would call me the next time he had something.

As far as wedding photography goes I did book a wedding and an engagement session. The engagement session will be the weekend after November and the wedding August 2007.

I am also buying a backup camera due to this recent wedding booking. A good thing to have though just generally as well. I am purchasing a Nikon d100 with 2 batteries, a camera bag and a Sigma 28-80mm lens for $400.00 sounds like a good deal to me. I had checked into renting a d70 and was quoted $95 a day so I really only need to book 4 weddings for it to pay for itself.

As I work in the city lately my camera has been staying at home :( I miss the feel of it in my hands and the pride that wells up inside of me when I take a really outstanding composition. I am attending a wedding as a guest on Friday and I am going to be taking it along. We need a little alone time :P

you can't leave it at home. you should at least keep it in your car. you never know what you may see that you might want to photograph...
